Lewis Achenbach
Artistic Jazz Improvisor
Lewis Achenbach has been documenting the music scene in Chicagoland for the past 11 years. With charcoaled fingertips and paint on canvas, Lewis has been capturing the ‘frequency in the room’ imagining ‘sonido sólido’ (solid sound).
Lewis was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Fort Bragg in 1971. He has a BFA in Film/Animation from NYU. Lewis has worked as a production coordinator for Michael Sporn Animaion Studios in NYC. He is a behavioral health specialist, decorative painter and arts commissioner. He lives in Wheaton, Illinois with his wife, child and beagle.
